OUR PHILOSOPHY

Community is at the heart of everything we do. From the family of women who form part of our program Sumak Kausay, to the network we have created around us who are always ready to lend a hand… From the team that make Sumak Kausay possible, to the people who come each week to look after the kids of the women… Adelante Mujer has been built and has grown on a foundation of strong community support.

We know that this sense of community plays a massive part in our success. The more people believe in us and share in the joy and passion that we infuse our work with, the more we continue to flourish.

Community is also a very important factor in the healing work we do with the women. Knowing that others have been through the same suffering and isolation as we have creates a sense of identification and belonging, which few of the women have felt before.
