Adelante Mujer
OUR COOKING WORKSHOPS
OUR COOKING WORKSHOPS
We host traditional Bolivian cooking workshops– led by the Warmis themselves!- for those wishing to learn more about local Cochabambino cuisine (mainly tourists or foreign volunteers!)
These workshops, as well as providing a great experience to our participants, serve two key purposes aligned with our mission:
1. Our ‘Adelante Mujer’ cooking guides start to experience their knowledge and experience as valuable.
As ‘teachers’, the women must take on a leadership role, allowing them to step out of their comfort zone, and into an active position of service to others. These workshops are an opportunity for the women to shine their light, instead of hiding from it.
2. As well as earning a wage from guiding these workshops, the women are also contributing to the sustainability of Adelante Mujer.
It is important for us that everybody feels like they are working together to create the success of Adelante Mujer. The women are a part of our organization, and we strongly believe that we are all in this together, to help ourselves, and then those to come.
